Kobus Nieuwoudt
Urban Planning Specialist
Kobus holds two town and regional planning qualifications obtained from the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in Cape Town, South Africa. He has over two decades’ experience in various town planning positions within local government, and more than a decade’s experience as town planning consultant in the private sector.
Kobus has worked with a number of local governments such as the City of Kalgoorlie-Boulder, Shire of Ravensthorpe and the Shire of Donnybrook-Balingup. More recently, Kobus has served as Director of Environmental Services at Walgett Shire Council and Executive Manager of Planning and Community Safety at Broken Hill City Council.
Kobus’ extensive local government experience provides his clients with a significant advantage when navigating WA’s complex statutory planning processes.
Everything Kobus does is based on his uncompromising beliefs in treating people fairly, working hard, paying close attention to details, and listening to and giving customers what they want.
